I have been home roasting coffee since 2012. What sparked from a little coffee passion turned into a full blown obsession. I started roasting beans as a way to create the most vibrant cup of coffee as possible. I delved into reading and educating myself into the history, art, and science of coffee. Coffee became way to travel around the world, explore many exotic locals, and taste a bit of uniqueness and culture. I started out roasting coffee with internet sourced green coffee and baking green coffee in my own oven. The evolution of home roasting coffee and brewing turned into something more for me.
In 2015, I began an epic journey of traveling to explore the world. It was a passion project to explore coffee, photography, see exotic places, and unpredictable adventures. I have explored consummate coffee shops in parts of the world that you would least expect. Connecting with coffee aficionados all over the world.
While in Asia, I attended the Coffee School of Asia for the Barista Certification, visited the Hario corporate, and tasted many unique brewing methods.
This site was originally the blog for that but was hacked. I decided to give Uncommon Globe new life and share green coffee with people who are hobbyist and people who want to learn the art of home roasting.
